New and Traditional Dishes
This year M&S has brought back some favorite Christmas dishes and added new products to its menu.
In an exclusive interview with The Sun, the company revealed new items including wagyu, turkey pie, and Christmas Kraken Colin caterpillar.
“Christmas Kraken Colin caterpillar will cost £15 and serves 10 people.”
The chocolate roulade, covered with thick milk chocolate, will be decorated with chocolate crisps and fizzing sugar. The Hand-Crafted Chocolate Violas, which gained popularity among shoppers, have returned for the 10th year running. These chocolate desserts cost £17.50 and serve six people.
A new variant of Hand-Crafted Chocolate Violas with Passionfruit Mousse and White Chocolate has also appeared.
For a luxurious dinner, you can order Scallops in Crunchy Coating for £16, suitable for four people. These are dishes with Patagonian scallops in creamy champagne sauce, baked in puff pastry.
Tasty Snack
Another interesting snack is Brie in Garlic Butter, serving six to eight people for £17.50. This is large French brie, surrounded by a basket made of bread prepared with garlic butter.
Your Christmas lunch won't be complete without the main course - in this case, it is Free Range Pembrokeshire Heritage Blue Chicken. Although it is not cheap (£95), it is intended for six to ten people. M&S assures that you will get “meat with a more pronounced flavor and with fat marbling,” and the skin “will become crispy when baked.”
A side dish will come in handy with Brussels Sprout and Leek Gratin, serving six people for £10.
Not long ago, M&S announced a collaboration with renowned chef Tom Kerridge to create its exclusive Christmas collection. This exclusive line includes four main dishes: Duck Pâté and three types of Wellingtons, crafted over two days by our butchers and bakers.
The Food to Order range on the M&S website is available for pre-order starting today. You can collect it on December 22, 23, or 24.
Customers can also pre-order M&S Christmas hampers with delivery from November 4, while winter flowers from the Flower Market can be ordered now with delivery from November 26.
M&S noted that it has simplified holiday planning for its customers this year by adding new information about “use by dates” on all products from Christmas Food to Order. This allows you to know in advance which products will remain fresh until the second day of the holidays or even until New Year's.
