According to The Sun: The 65-year-old steward of Manchester United, Steven Brindley, who had received a letter of support from Sir Alex Ferguson, has passed away after a battle with a brain tumor.

Sir Alex Ferguson sent Steven Brindley a thank you letter for his service

This job was his dream as he was a huge fan of the team. Steven was diagnosed in October 2023, and the doctors gave him only a short time to live. Nevertheless, he fought valiantly until the last minute.

Steven continued to work as a steward until last season, despite numerous treatments and a stroke that left one side of his body paralyzed. He died last Thursday after a two-year battle with the illness.

The famous team member, Sir Alex Ferguson, sent him a letter of thanks for his dedicated work.

"He was a wonderful person. He was truly a part of the community... Everyone knew him, and he was always part of the atmosphere," said Niki McCann, a close family friend.

Steven's family is organizing donations for his funeral. Niki noted that they are all very humble and hardworking people.

"No donation is too small, and every message and kind thought means a lot to us," he added.

The family wants a celebratory farewell ceremony that is full of love and joy and reflects the spark that Steven brought to their lives.

This tragic event was not only a heavy loss for the family but also for the wider football community, which remembers Steven as a dedicated fan and team member. His contribution and love for Manchester United will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
