A brave 21-year-old shooter died at the front. Let us remember Bohdan Lysyi.
Every day at 9 am, Ukrainians honor the memory of all those whose lives were taken by the Russian-Ukrainian war. Today, we remember Bohdan Lysyi.
On September 16, 2024, in the area of the village of Druzhba in the Bakhmut district of the Donetsk region, soldier Bohdan Lysyi died. The Tulchyn District State Administration reported the death of the Ukrainian defender.
Bohdan Lysyi was born in 2003 in the village of Yarove in the Shpykiv community. Since childhood, he helped his parents in everything, was kind, friendly, well-mannered, had many friends, and, like every young person, made plans for the future. However, they were not destined to come true. The Russian occupier cut short his young life.
Conscripted for military service under a contract, soldier Bohdan Lysyi served as a shooter in a specialized rifle battalion.
For some time, the defender was considered missing. Loyal to the military oath, in the battle for Ukraine, showing resilience and courage, he died on September 16, 2024.
The life of Bohdan Lysyi ended in the area of the village of Druzhba, Bakhmut district, Donetsk region.
Defender of Ukraine Bohdan Lysyi will forever remain in the memory of his family, friends, comrades, and fellow villagers as a young 21-year-old man with an open heart and a sincere soul.
Bohdan Lysyi is survived by his mother Natalia Vasylivna, father Oleksii Petrovych, and sisters.
The command joins the minute of silence. We honor the memory of all Ukrainians who died in the struggle for the Motherland. We remember those who died at the hands of Russian invaders, light candles of remembrance, and bow our heads in sorrow during the national minute of silence, honoring the bright memory of the citizens of Ukraine who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of the state: all the military, civilians, and children, all who died in the struggle against Russian occupiers and as a result of the enemy's attack on Ukrainian cities and villages.
