Demining Operations Underway in Kharkiv Region
According to Novyny.live: Efforts to clear areas affected by combat continue across the Kharkiv region. Over the past week, specialists cleared nearly 84 hectares of land, including dozens of hectares of farmland and critical infrastructure sites. During these operations, sappers neutralized 923 explosive devices, highlighting the active progress being made to restore safety in the area.
Specifically, experts surveyed:
- nearly 35 hectares of agricultural land;
- over 12 hectares of forested areas.
These steps are vital for ensuring the safety of local residents and restoring normal life in communities impacted by hostilities. Thanks to these efforts, 33,159 subscribers were reconnected to the power grid, improving living conditions for many people.
Ongoing Hazards and Next Steps
Additionally, a 500-kilogram aerial bomb was removed in Derhachi, underscoring the persistent danger in the conflict zone. A tragedy occurred near a liberated village in the Bohodukhiv district, serving as a stark reminder of the severe consequences of the fighting that still demand attention and action from emergency services.
