In Kyiv region, a fact was detected when the director of a communal institution received bribes for removal from military registration. This led to a possible imprisonment of 8 years, reports the press service of the Kyiv region police.

Law enforcement learned that a 47-year-old official used intermediaries to commit illegal actions. He offered young men recognition of unfitness for military service for a certain sum of money. In case of refusal to pay, he tried to summon them for mobilization after reaching the conscription age.
The police seized medical documents used for issuing fictitious disability, equipment, and money during the search of the official's office.
Now the police are investigating the involvement of other persons in the corrupt scheme, including members of the military medical commission. As a result of the transfer of funds, the official was detained and placed in a temporary detention center.
The suspect has been charged with accepting bribes in exchange for influence on decisions regarding military matters. Currently, the issue of preventive measures in the form of detention is being resolved.
Recently, a scheme for evading mobilization was uncovered in Zaporizhia and a situation in Mykolaiv where employment in the SBU was offered in exchange for money.
The detection of such a corrupt scheme indicates the spread of the problem in the field of military registration and mobilization in Ukraine, which requires attention and the implementation of additional measures to combat this phenomenon.
