According to Novyny.live: Authorities in the Lviv region have imposed a temporary ban on swimming at Lake Zadorozhnie following an outbreak of acute intestinal infection among visitors. As of now, 20 children and one adult have been hospitalized after reporting poisoning symptoms. The swimming restriction will remain in effect until July 7, 2026.
The decision to close the lake was made based on a recommendation from Natalia Ivanchenko, the Chief State Sanitary Doctor of the Lviv region. Common signs of acute intestinal infection include:
- nausea
- vomiting
- digestive upset
- elevated body temperature
Specialists have already begun investigating the source of the infection, determining the cause of the mass illness, and assessing the safety of the water and surrounding area.
