According to Novyny.live: A 36-year-old woman has been detained in the Odesa region on suspicion of torturing her five-year-old son. The case unfolded on June 25 in the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district. The boy was hospitalized with a closed head injury and a concussion, according to officials.
She now faces charges under Article 127, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine—torture—which carries a potential prison sentence of up to six years. A court has ordered her to be held in custody pending trial. Notably, the family had already been under supervision by the Center for Social Services, suggesting prior concerns about the child's upbringing.
