Russian military will hold administrative positions in occupied territories.
Occupiers controlling the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine are starting a new phase of repression. The Russians have devised a new mechanism to control these territories. This is reported by the National Resistance Center.
This particularly concerns the fact that among the servicemen of the Russian-occupation forces, many will be appointed to so-called administrative positions in the occupation administrations and elsewhere.
«This means that managing localities, dealing with 'economic issues', and other activities will now be handled not by competent law enforcement officers, among whom there are quite a number of individuals with a criminal past and other 'shadows' of Russian society», - the report states.
At the same time, occupation sources officially present this as a personnel competition, which is supposed to highlight the achievements of the defenders. But the reality is different. The occupiers cannot find civilian personnel among the locals who are willing to work in their occupation structures.
In this regard, they are trying to integrate candidates from among the Russian military to elevate their status and attempt to justify their crimes committed against the local population and all of Ukraine.
It is obvious that these appointments will lead to intensified repressive measures, looting, and new corruption schemes. Moreover, former mercenaries and previously convicted occupiers lack management skills, but possess experience in intimidation, extortion, and unchecked violence.
It should be noted that starting from 2025, Ukrainians will be able to file claims for reparations for any crimes of the Russian Federation. The Ministry of Digital Transformation plans to launch 45 categories of compensation claims in the first half of 2025.
