The joint actions of Russia and China are part of a series of naval maneuvers that have been taking place in recent days. The two countries are actively strengthening strategic cooperation: shortly before the start of the full-scale war in Ukraine in 2022, they signed an agreement on 'unlimited partnership'.

It is worth noting that in the U.S., Donald Trump stated that he ordered the repositioning of nuclear submarines in response to 'extremely provocative' remarks from former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, who suggested a risk of conflict between nuclear states. The Kremlin, in turn, tried to reduce tensions, emphasizing that American submarines are already constantly on combat duty. Government representatives also urged all parties to be very careful with nuclear rhetoric.
