President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky made an address after 890 days of full-scale war. He talked about a meeting on the country's recovery, preparations for the new academic year, international relations, and noted the achievements of Ukrainian military.
Zelensky held a meeting with Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal regarding Ukraine's recovery. Issues of completing construction projects, recovery priorities, and personnel matters were discussed. The president noted that staffing and additional decisions are being prepared so that more children can study offline in schools this spring.
Regarding international relations, Zelensky announced the preparation of agreements and arrangements for August. He also mentioned holding negotiations with another European country and plans for visits of leaders to Ukraine, which have the length and philosophy of agreements.
The president emphasized the importance of ensuring the country's resilience in the coming years, which will provide more opportunities considering the existing challenges and threats.
Zelensky paid great attention to expressing gratitude to the Ukrainian military. He noted the achievements of the 15th Brigade of the National Guard in the south of the country, which destroyed many Russian artillery systems over the course of the month. He also thanked the fighters of the 1st Presidential Brigade of the National Guard, the Special Purpose Center "Omega," and the 5th Slobozhanska Brigade.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine that were highlighted include the 25th separate airborne brigade and the 68th separate ranger brigade in the Pokrovske direction, the 57th separate motorized infantry and the 36th separate marine brigade in the Kharkiv direction, the 14th separate mechanized brigade in the Kupiansk direction, the paratroopers of the "Seventy-ninth" in the Kurakhove direction, and the 28th separate mechanized brigade in the Toretsk direction.
