In the village of Trostyanka in the Kopachivska community in Volyn, meetings were held regarding joining the Orthodox Church of Ukraine. Seventy-two people voted to leave the Moscow Patriarchate, 18 parishioners were against it, and one abstained. The temple's rector, Stepan Ivanychko, also supported their decision. He will remain on Ukraine's side, despite the bans on service in the Volyn Diocese of the UOC MP.

Earlier, it was reported that over 8,000 UOC MP churches operate in Ukraine, but the number of communities that decided to leave the Moscow Patriarchate decreased to 685.

The Supreme Court of Ukraine recognized the transition of the religious community from the UOC MP to the OCU as legal. In addition, Ukraine exchanged UOC MP priests for prisoners of war since the beginning of the war.
