Concrete Blocks are Being Installed at the Border in Transcarpathia: What is Happening.
According to inkorr.com: In Transcarpathia, active installation of concrete barriers near crossing points has begun to prevent illegal crossings of vehicles across the state border. This was reported by Andriy Demchenko, a representative of the State Border Guard Service.
"Together with other services responsible for the arrangement of crossing points, we continue the fight against illegal attempts to breach the border. There have been multiple attempts by citizens to cross the border, damaging the infrastructure. Our goal is to prevent such incidents," emphasized Demchenko.
Ensuring Safety on Highways
It is also reported that security measures are being implemented on roads leading to crossing points in partnership with the Service for Development and Reconstruction of the Infrastructure of the Transcarpathian Region. Conditions are being created that force vehicles to reduce speed, which enhances safety at the border.
Cooperation with Polish Border Guards
Due to cooperation with Poland, measures are being taken to prevent illegal vehicle exits across the border. According to information from the Polish border service, there has been a noticeable increase in the number of Ukrainians traveling to Poland since early 2025. Andriy Demchenko noted that citizens are not recorded by age, but attempts at illegal border crossings are being closely monitored.
The State Border Guard Service continues its active work to strengthen border security in cooperation with other services. To ensure order at crossing points, additional measures are being implemented to prevent illegal border crossings and guarantee safety on the roads leading to crossing points.
These measures are important in the face of modern challenges, as increased activity at the border can lead to various offenses. In addition to improving safety, authorities aim to ensure comfort and security for citizens crossing the border.
