Three Men Attack Military Recruitment Staff in Zakarpattia: Court Orders Pretrial Detention.
Incident in Zakarpattia
According to Novyny.live: On March 10, 2023, three individuals attacked employees of a Territorial Recruitment Center (TCC) during a document check near the village of Patskanovo in the Uzhhorod district. The assailants blocked the road, causing damage to an official vehicle.
The Uzhhorod City District Court has already ruled on a preventive measure for the three detainees, ordering them to be held in custody without the possibility of bail. Their actions have been classified under Part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which addresses hooliganism. These centers are responsible for military mobilization efforts across Ukraine.
Rising Aggression
This attack is not an isolated incident of hostility toward TCC personnel in the region. In January 2023, five assaults on recruitment centers were recorded in Zakarpattia, during which one serviceman sustained a knife wound. Such events highlight increasing tensions and risks for workers in this field.
The growing aggression against Territorial Recruitment Center staff is raising concerns among local authorities and the public, as it may reflect deeper social and economic issues in the area. Officials must take steps to ensure worker safety and reduce societal tensions that could fuel similar crimes. It is crucial for law enforcement to implement necessary measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
