According to inkorr.com: The first official Ukrainian-Hungarian schools and gymnasiums have opened in Budapest. One of the institutions of the Ukrainian community has been named after Taras Shevchenko. Classes will be conducted in the native language here, just like in two other bilingual institutions that have emerged over the past one and a half years.

Educational Process for Ukrainian Children

According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Ukraine, the first official Ukrainian-Hungarian school and gymnasium already educates 360 children, and the new institution in Budapest will start with primary classes and plans to expand to secondary school.

Licensed Educational Institutions

According to the information from the MFA of Ukraine, this year another Ukrainian school received a state license based on a local educational complex.

'Until now, it existed as an educational center, and now there will be a full-fledged educational process in Ukrainian for about 300 Ukrainian children. The school will also have a kindergarten. The establishment and operation of this school became possible thanks to the cooperation of the Ukrainian organization 'Unity' and the Hungarian Autonomous Orthodox Jewish Community. Thus, the institution will become a center for dialogue among three cultures – Ukrainian, Hungarian, and Jewish,' – stated the MFA.

Network of Ukrainian Educational Institutions in Hungary

In Hungary, in addition to the three mentioned schools, a network of Ukrainian educational centers and Sunday schools operates, where children from Ukrainian and Ukrainian-Hungarian families study.

This news indicates the active development of the Ukrainian educational network in Hungary, which provides Ukrainian-language education for an increasing number of children. It also highlights the joint efforts of the Ukrainian and Hungarian communities in the field of education.
