Expert: Trump should continue to assist Ukraine
Former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine and Atlantic Council analyst John Herbst believes that President Donald Trump should continue to assist Ukraine on the part of the United States.
'This could be a loan, but it should include modern weapons - in particular, long-range tactical missile systems ATACMS and F-16 fighters, as well as possibly something else,' Herbst noted, reports Voice of America.
According to him, this will demonstrate to Russian leader Putin that the continuation of his aggression 'will not lead to the expansion of occupied territorial control.'
In Herbst's opinion, such an approach will contribute to achieving lasting peace and 'could even bring Trump the Nobel Peace Prize.'
