Most important mineral deposits in Ukraine
A map has identified 37 key mineral deposits located throughout the country.
Some of them include:
- Polokhivske lithium deposit
- Dobry deposit
- Kruta Balka deposit
- Shevchenkivske lithium ore deposit
Many of these deposits contain graphite, but some of them are located in occupied territories.
Scientists have also developed a method for extracting gold from waste, as well as discovered quartz extraction sites in Ukraine.
Ukraine has significant reserves of rare earth minerals, which are important for the economy and other sectors. Scientists are actively studying the potential of these resources for the country, particularly their use in 'green' energy and innovative technologies. The presence of such deposits indicates a great potential for Ukraine in this direction.
