Naftogaz provided tips on saving on heating.
Experts from the gas supply company "Naftogaz of Ukraine" explained how to save on heating without losing comfort.
One of the methods is reducing the temperature in the house during nighttime.
They offer three effective options:
setting the thermostat to a lower temperature at night;
programming the boiler for nighttime operation using a timer;
reducing heat supply through radiator valves at night.
But turning off the heating completely is not recommended.
"Complete cooling of the room will necessitate using the system's maximum power to restore a comfortable temperature, which negates the previous savings," warn experts.
According to sanitary standards, the optimal temperature for living spaces during the autumn-winter period is 20-22°C.
And let's also remind: Naftogaz advised what to do if the gas heater makes strange noises.
