The USA and Ukraine have made progress on security guarantees: What was discussed in Paris.
According to ТСН: The United States has made significant progress in negotiations with Ukraine regarding the establishment of bilateral security guarantees. As the Special Envoy of the US President, Steve Witkoff, reported, a new level of cooperation has been achieved in several strategic areas during the meetings in Paris, which could form the basis for a future peaceful settlement.
US representatives emphasize that for a lasting peace in Ukraine, not only military guarantees are required, but also serious economic commitments. Steve Witkoff also noted that the development of such mechanisms is progressing in parallel with discussions about the complex political aspects of the conflict.
“Today we have made significant progress in several key areas of cooperation with the Ukrainians, particularly in the development of bilateral security guarantees. The question of territories is one of the most painful,” said the Special Envoy of the US President.
Witkoff added that negotiations in Paris will continue and will last for the coming days.
“Negotiations with the Ukrainian delegation are ongoing – today and tomorrow. The American side expects further positive progress in the near future,” Witkoff added.

In France, the meeting of the “Coalition of the Willing” has begun, which is attended by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky.
More than 30 officials from various countries have joined the meeting. The USA was represented by the envoys of the US President – Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.
Thanks to the results of the meeting, Ukraine, France, and Great Britain signed a declaration on the sending of Western forces.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, characterized the new Paris declaration as “very concrete” and emphasized the willingness of the coalition and European states to work towards achieving peace.
The President of France also shared the main agreements reached during the meeting.
This meeting in Paris was an important step in strengthening cooperation between the USA and Ukraine. The discussion of bilateral security guarantees demonstrates the seriousness of the American side's intentions to support Ukraine in its struggle for peace and development.
