The law on accumulated pensions is planned to be adopted in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in 2025.

The first deputy head of the Committee on Social Policy and Protection of Veterans' Rights, Mykhailo Tsymbaliuk, reported that despite controversial moments in the bill, the authorities intend to adopt it in 2025. He is also confident that the deadlines for adopting the law will be met.

'The bill includes changes concerning the structure of the pension fund. The fund will be state-owned for the first three years to avoid bankruptcy risks. It is also planned to create a fund guaranteeing the return of the funds that will be contributed for accumulation,' Tsymbaliuk said.

Financing of the accumulated system will be carried out with the participation of employers, employees, and the state. During the first three years, each party will contribute 2% of the contribution, and then the contributions will decrease to 1%. After that, citizens will be able to transfer their savings to a private pension fund.

It is possible to fully implement the bill only with the restoration of the stock market in Ukraine, Tsymbaliuk noted.
