MP Kostenko told a telling story of the surrender of Russians in Kursk region.

In the Kursk region, one Ukrainian soldier convinced more than 10 Russians to surrender within a day. MP Roman Kostenko said this in an interview with Yanina Sokolova.

Kostenko said that initially, more than 10 Russians captured a Ukrainian soldier.

"One of the crews of the 82nd brigade was working from the plantation, and the plantation was uncleaned, the Russians came, in the amount of more than 10 people, and captured him," the statement reads.

The MP added that within a day, a Ukrainian soldier convinced almost all of those Russians to surrender to Ukraine:

"Within a day, this guy brought those Russians, well, almost all of them, some did not want to, to us as prisoners. That is, he convinced them to surrender within a day, said, you have no choice. You will have to surrender after all. He promised, told them we have Himars, we have this and that, now you will be destroyed. Well, they agreed, he brought them".

Recall that the advance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk region showed, in particular, how many vulnerable spots the Russian army has. In addition, this is a signal to Kyiv's allies that Ukraine can change the course of the war. 

Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a series of laws related to the military, in particular, regarding the status of Ukrainian fighters fighting on the territory of Russia.

Also, on August 20, the Verkhovna Rada supported bill No. 11483, which guarantees military personnel fighting in the Russian Federation, in particular in the Kursk region, the same payments and preferences as on the front line.
