How to stock up for winter: prices of tomatoes, potatoes, carrots, and onions in supermarkets and markets.
Prices for vegetables in supermarkets and markets in Odessa and Kiev have changed, showing what is happening to their value. According to the Minfin portal, many Ukrainians pay attention to the prices of potatoes, tomatoes, onions, and carrots.
Many people are stocking up for winter, as vegetables are currently selling much cheaper than in winter. At the moment, a kilogram of red tomatoes costs an average of 81.30 UAH, pink - 84.90 UAH/kg, and cream - 59.42 UAH/kg.
The price of potatoes has already risen by 3 UAH. Currently, a kilo of potatoes will cost 25.55 UAH, and young ones will cost 40.60 UAH/kg.
The prices of onions have dropped. White onions cost 24.40 UAH/kg, shallots - 15.82 UAH/kg, young ones - 14.90 UAH/kg, and blue ones - 26.40 UAH/kg.
Carrots can be purchased for 17.49 UAH/kg.
At the Capital Market in Kiev, potatoes and tomatoes can be purchased at a lower price than in supermarkets. Potatoes cost between 17 and 22 UAH/kg, and tomatoes - between 60 and 100 UAH/kg.
Prices at the Odessa market "Pochatok" are slightly different. There, old potatoes cost between 18 and 20 UAH/kg, and tomatoes - between 18 and 20 UAH/kg.
Pay attention to prices and look for the best deals.
