According to The Sun: NATO scrambled fighter jets into the sky amid a massive attack on Ukraine, during which 50 missiles and 500 drones were launched, resulting in the death of at least five people, including children.

In Lviv, just 43 miles from Poland, an entire family of four was killed, including a 15-year-old girl. This is the worst attack on the city since the war began.

The operational command of Poland stated:

“Polish and allied aircraft are carrying out tasks in our airspace while ground air defense systems and radar systems are on high alert.”

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reported:

“More than 50 missiles and 500 attacking drones”
were used in this bloody attack that took five lives.

He clarified that Vladimir Putin's troops were shelling Ukraine with cruise missiles, Shahed drones, and Kinzhal hypersonic missiles.

Zelensky added:

“Russia is openly trying to destroy our civilian infrastructure before winter – our gas infrastructure, our energy production and transportation.”

This was the largest combined missile, drone, and air strike from Russia on Ukraine since the war began in 2022.

The president called for

“greater air defense”
in Ukraine's skies and
“a unilateral ceasefire”
to pave the way for diplomacy.

He also emphasized:

“America and Europe must act to make Putin stop.”

Emergency services in Ukraine reported that four people died and at least four were injured in Lviv after Russia “pounded the region for over five hours.”

Rescue services declared an emergency search operation to identify civilians who may be trapped under the rubble.

A separate attack in Zaporizhzhia claimed the life of at least one person and injured 10 others.

Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovy reported a series of explosions in his city that hit 'civilian objects' and 'residential buildings.'

Sadovy noted:

“Explosions are heard again in Lviv. The air defense is active. Stay in a safe place!”

The entire territory of Ukraine was under air attack alarms for several hours on Saturday evening; the strongest strikes were aimed at the Lviv region.

As a result of the attacks, there were also power outages, leaving around 70,000 residents without electricity.
