One night in Kyiv, 25 civilians were killed; the British Council building was also damaged.
The President of Ukraine noted that the ongoing bloodshed 'demonstrates Putin's true intentions – to continue the killings, rather than take steps to establish peace.'
Zelensky also reminded the world of the deadline set by Trump for taking new measures against Russia if Putin does not dare to meet with the Ukrainian leader.

He noted:
“Two weeks will be on Monday. And we will remind everyone.”
Zelensky also emphasized that Moscow used the free time when a meeting of leaders was planned for new mass attacks.
The president wrote on X on Saturday:
“The only way to open up the possibility for diplomacy is to take tough measures against all those who finance the Russian army, and effective sanctions against Moscow itself, including in the financial and energy sectors.”
The date for a bilateral meeting between Zelensky and Putin has not yet been agreed upon.
In Ukraine, in turn, two key Russian oil refineries were attacked, both engulfed in flames on Saturday.
Ukrainian forces also conducted a 'massive attack' with airborne and maritime drones on occupied Crimea.

This week, the British Foreign Office summoned Russian Ambassador Andrei Kelin due to strikes in Kyiv.
Kelin stated:
“According to my information, the military is conducting precisely coordinated and highly accurate strikes only on military targets and establishments related to them.”
“I should say that one of such objects of the Ukrainian military-industrial complex is located near the British Council building. It is literally across the street.”
“As far as I understood, it was successfully struck.”
These events underscore the seriousness of the situation in Ukraine and the need for international support amid Russian aggression. Tensions in the region remain high, and threats to the civilian population are significant. Ukrainian officials and allies continue to call for greater activity from the global community in countering Russian aggression.
