NATO strengthens air defense in the Black Sea region.
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stated that the Alliance is ready to effectively defend every member country, including in the Black Sea region, which is of strategic importance to NATO.
This was stated by Mark Rutte in Brussels during a meeting with Romanian Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu, as reported by European Truth.
During the meeting with Ciolacu, Rutte said that Russia's war highlighted the need for a powerful air defense, and it remains a priority.
The Secretary General emphasized that the Alliance has already strengthened its air defense on its eastern flank.
He stressed that NATO takes security in the Black Sea region very seriously.
'We are ready to provide assistance, protect and defend every member of the Alliance,' he emphasized.
Rutte added that during the meeting they also discussed the importance of providing continued support to Ukraine.
