Preparation of Ukrainian border guards for the 'West-2025' exercises

Ukrainian border guards are increasing their readiness ahead of the 'West-2025' exercises. As reported by the spokesman of the State Border Guard Service, no significant concentration of Russian military and equipment has been recorded in Belarus before these exercises. However, Ukrainian border guards remain in a state of increased readiness.
'We do not record any formation of a group on the territory of Belarus that would pose a threat to our country,' Demchenko reassured.
On Belarusian territory, Russian forces consist mainly of vehicles, a limited number of armored vehicles, and personnel. It is expected that this year their numbers will be significantly lower than in previous years.

Vigilance and readiness for potential threats

The active phase of the 'West-2025' exercises is scheduled for September 12-16, during which an increase in the presence of Russian units, including tanks and armored vehicles, is expected. Despite the relative calm, Demchenko warned of potential provocations and information escalation by the enemy, which could aim to force Ukraine to deploy additional forces in the Belarusian direction.
'Our task is to monitor the situation in Belarus,' Demchenko concluded, emphasizing the need to maintain vigilance along the entire border from Volyn to Chernihiv.
In addition to the 'West-2025' exercises, training is also taking place on the territory of Belarus within the framework of the CSTO, elements of which are already being actively deployed. Ukrainian border guards maintain heightened readiness due to potential threats. The 'West-2025' exercises will impact the situation in the region, and Ukrainian border guards remain on alert, ready to respond to any provocations. The situation at the border with Belarus and monitoring of Russian military actions remain a focus of our forces.
