KBU Awards 2025: Celebrating Nonfiction Literature
According to Novyny.live: The 2025 KBU Awards ceremony took place in Kyiv on March 13, 2025, revealing the winners in the nonfiction category. Established in 2020, this prize recognizes authors across various nonfiction genres, including business, war, history, national identity, and personal development.

This year’s awards spanned five categories:
- Business Development
- Personal Development
- History of Ukraine
- National Identity
- Russo-Ukrainian War
In the 'Business Development' category, 'More Than a Team' by Artur Lupashko took the prize. The 'National Identity' award was shared between 'Cultural Colonization' by Radomyr Mokryk and 'And Now There’s No One to Ask...' by Anna Nikolayeva.
Additionally, in the 'Russo-Ukrainian War' category, 'The First Energy War' by Yevhen Mochalov and Vitaliy Kryzhevskyi won. 'How to Write a Book: A Concentrated Course in Writing Craft' secured the 'Personal Development' award. For 'History of Ukraine,' the prize was split between 'Mazepa: The Thousand-Faced Hero of Ukrainian History' by Viktor Horobets and 'Ukrainian Radio: A History of a Turbulent Century' by Vadym Minsky and Tamara Huseynova.
Meest POCHTA served as the general partner for the 2025 KBU Awards, underscoring the importance of supporting nonfiction literature in Ukraine. The ceremony highlighted authors contributing to Ukrainian literature and the preservation of national memory.
