"Should not have started": Trump blamed Zelensky for Russia's invasion of Ukraine, - The Washington Post.
U.S. presidential candidate from the Republicans, Donald Trump, stated that Ukraine's leader, Volodymyr Zelensky, initiated the start of the war in Ukraine.
He made this statement on the podcast of conservative commentator Patrick Bet-David, reports "Khvylya".
Despite the fact that Russia initiated a full-scale war against Ukraine and continues to shell cities, Trump believes that Zelensky is to blame for this.
It is worth emphasizing that Trump rarely makes such statements regarding Putin. Since the beginning of the conflict, Trump has often said that Putin is not to blame for anything.
The former U.S. president also called the Ukrainian leader one of the greatest salesmen he had ever seen and expressed surprise at the amount of aid Ukraine received from the United States.
"I think Zelensky is one of the best salesmen I have ever seen. Every Time he comes, we give him a hundred billion dollars. Who else in history had such money? Never been. And that doesn't mean I don't want to help him, because I feel very sorry for these people. But he should never have allowed this war to start. This war is a loss," he said.
Let us recall, Zelensky conveyed Trump's statement.
