According to ТСН: In Ukraine, some settlements may not have scheduled power outages. This applies to consumers who have experienced prolonged emergency outages.

Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Kuleba reported that the Cabinet of Ministers is working to ensure that electricity is not turned off according to schedules for residents who have had emergency outages lasting up to 8 hours. These areas are planned to be excluded from the outage schedules.

Situation in the Energy Sector

Kuleba noted that during the massive attack on December 27, Russian troops launched more than 500 drones and 30 missiles at the energy infrastructure of Kyiv and the region. Currently, decisions regarding the coordination of schedules and the restoration of electricity in areas where emergency outages have recently been canceled have not yet been made.

“Right now, the Ministry of Energy is working to prevent this from happening, so that people who were without electricity for more than 8 hours are not immediately subjected to scheduled outages,” he emphasized.

Emergency Outages

Kuleba also noted that in the Vyshgorod district of Kyiv region, emergency outages continue. 10,000 subscribers are left without electricity. At the same time, the situation in Kyiv has stabilized, and the city has returned to stabilization outage schedules.

During the massive attack on December 27, Kyiv plunged into cold and darkness. More than 2,600 residential buildings, 187 kindergartens, 138 schools, and 22 social institutions were left without centralized heating. Emergency power outages were also introduced.

Acting Minister of Energy Artem Nekrasov is convinced that the blackout in Ukraine is not the primary goal of Russian attacks on energy facilities. The occupants seek to exert psychological pressure on the population to instill panic among Ukrainians.

The situation in the Ukrainian energy sector remains complex due to significant damage from recent attacks. It is crucial for residents to receive timely information about outages and to have the possibility of obtaining electricity supply in a stable manner. Timely decisions by the government and energy institutions can significantly ease the situation for citizens in these challenging conditions.
