Keir Starmer emphasized the importance of cooperation with the US for a ceasefire in Ukraine

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer highlighted the need for coordination with the United States regarding plans for a ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia. He made this statement during a press conference following a virtual meeting with leaders of the 'coalition of the willing'.

In response to questions from journalists about support from Washington, Starmer reaffirmed his unchanged position.

'The stance on the US remains unchanged. I have clearly stated that this needs to be done together with the United States... We communicate with the US every day,' the British Prime Minister emphasized.

He also mentioned that his national security adviser has just returned from the United States.

Starmer noted the importance of close cooperation with American partners: 'Therefore, the position that this needs to be done together with the United States remains unchanged. That is why we are having such detailed discussions that we are conducting.'
