Tesco launched a carbonara-flavored pizza: opinions of customers are divided.
New Carbonara Clash Pizza from Tesco
According to The Sun: TESCO has introduced a new pizza that is already on supermarket shelves, but opinions among customers are divided regarding its taste.
TescoThis is the Carbonara Clash Classic Crust pizza, which can be found in the frozen pizza section of Tesco. Its cost is £2.50 with Clubcard or £3 without it.
This 428g pizza can be prepared straight from the freezer in just 15 minutes in the oven.
According to the description, Carbonara Clash is a “fusion of two Italian masterpieces” and combines classic pizza with pieces of smoked bacon, a cream-fresh based sauce, and a “rich” seasoned white sauce.
On top, mozzarella and red cheddar are also placed.
Customer Reactions
Many people shared their impressions of the new pizza on social media. Some were thrilled:
“This is the pizza I was talking about.”
Another user added:
“This is definitely for us.”
Someone who has already tried a similar pizza in Spain wrote:
“Wow, I was looking for carbonara pizza. I tried it for the first time in Spain, it was super – I will definitely buy it.”
However, not everyone received the novelty positively. Some expressed doubts about such a combination:
“Given the existing problems in the world, we shouldn’t start a war with the Italians.”
“Italian grandmothers are crying.”
New Products from Tesco
This novelty comes after Tesco announced “the world’s first air-fryer pizza” brand Slicey’s, which has the perfect shape for cooking in an air fryer. Tesco offers three flavors: Margherita, Pepperoni, and Diavola.
However, Tesco is not without difficulties — this year, the company has caused dissatisfaction among customers due to a £1 price increase on its pizza set. Now the set, which includes a pizza, side, and sauce from The Pizza Company, costs £7 for Clubcard holders.
With the new Carbonara Clash pizza, Tesco is trying to attract consumer attention to its range. Although the reaction to the product has been mixed, it's interesting to see if it can find its audience among pizza lovers. Clearly, British supermarkets are actively experimenting with new flavors to satisfy the growing demand for original culinary solutions.
