Newcastle left without Livramento for 10 matches: what happened to the player.
New troubles for Newcastle due to Livramento injury
According to The Sun: Newcastle is facing serious difficulties as Tino Livramento is likely to miss ten matches due to injury.
The defender had to leave the field during his team's 2-1 defeat to Arsenal over the weekend.
GettyAccording to Sky Sports, Livramento suffered a knee ligament injury at the moment Newcastle conceded a winning goal in the 96th minute, which could sideline him for up to eight weeks.
It is worth noting that he managed to avoid a re-tear of the cruciate ligaments.
Livramento will begin a lengthy rehabilitation process, and his absence will be felt as Eddie Howe is set to fight for success both in the Premier League and in the Champions League.
The injury was sustained due to a foul by William Saliba, and Howe admitted that such an incident looks unfortunate.
Livramento is expected to miss matches against Nottingham Forest, Brighton, Fulham, West Ham, Brentford, and Manchester City.
He will also miss the Carabao Cup Round of 16 match against Tottenham, which will take place this month.

However, there is hope that Livramento can return in time for the away match against Marseille, as the team also has upcoming fixtures against Everton and Tottenham in the league.

Livramento, who became a star of Chelsea's academy, joined Newcastle in 2023 for £40 million from Southampton.
He has made 88 appearances for the club, helped Newcastle win the Carabao Cup earlier this year, and also achieved victory at Euro with the England U21 national team, receiving three call-ups to the national team over the past year.
