Inconveniences during the journey

According to The Sun: The Newcastle stars, Bruno Guimarães and Joelinton, faced some inconveniences during their flight to South Korea for the international break.

They planned to land in Seoul on Tuesday to participate in the Brazilian national team's training under Carlo Ancelotti.

However, the flight they took had to return to Amsterdam due to a crack in the window.

Overall, they spent about 12 hours on the journey without getting closer to their destination.

The Newcastle players must now be rebooked on other flights to arrive on Wednesday afternoon.

According to reports from Brazil, Guimarães is expected to arrive first in South Korea as he is flying with a layover in another European country.

Meanwhile, Joelinton will be traveling from Amsterdam.

The Brazilian national team has scheduled training for 16:00 local time at the Goyang stadium.

Joelinton will not be able to make it on time to join the team in South Korea.

It is currently unclear if Guimarães will be present.

Brazil will play a friendly match against South Korea on Friday afternoon.

Plans for the next matches

After this flight, they will undertake a 780-mile journey to Tokyo, as they have a match scheduled against Japan next Tuesday.

Later, Guimarães and Joelinton will make a grueling 5,768-mile journey back to the Northeast, with less than 48 hours to prepare for the match against Brighton, which also includes another 353-mile trip to the South Coast on October 18.

Before the international break, midfielder Guimarães said:

“The international break did not come at a very convenient time for us, as we just want to keep going.”

“But now we have to travel to the national team, perform well, and return in good form as we have a very important game when we get back.”

“I'm going to South Korea, that's crazy. But yes, we have to go there. Playing for my country is always a point of pride for me. But it's a bit far.”

“The most important thing now is to handle the layovers. Traveling there, training well. That's important for us, and above all, to stay in good physical condition.”

Newcastle won their last match before the international break 2-0 against Nottingham.

The Brazilian stars Igor Jesus and John Victor, who are also part of Nottingham, have already arrived in Seoul and participated in training on Tuesday.

This situation highlights the difficulties that football players can face during international gatherings. Despite all the inconveniences, Guimarães and Joelinton intend to seize their chance to represent Brazil on the world stage. Their previous experience and willingness to play at a high level will be important as football matches at the international level require not only physical fitness but also mental strength.
