Newcastle announces: Vissa's debut postponed for another two weeks.
According to The Sun: The Newcastle team received some unpleasant news - forward Yoane Vissa will not be able to take the field for the next two weeks.
The player, who joined the club on transfer deadline day for 55 million pounds from Stanford, has not yet completed a single training session with the Magpies due to a knee injury sustained while playing for the DR Congo national team last month.

Vissa had hoped to return to play on October 18 in a match against Brighton, but coach Eddie Howe has reported that the team star will have to wait even longer.
“Yoane visited a specialist yesterday for an examination of his knee. Now we believe the recovery period will be eight weeks instead of six. No re-injuries or issues, just needs a bit more time,”
Howe said.
A new target for Vissa is the match against West Ham on November 2. But Newcastle still has important games in the Champions League against Athletic Bilbao and an away meeting with Vissa's former club Brentford before the international break.
Competition for a starting spot
At the moment, the DR Congo national team has no scheduled matches during the international period, but next month the team hopes for its leader's participation in the Africa Cup of Nations.
Despite Vissa's desire to join the team, Newcastle is aiming to have him back in top form ahead of the tournament in Morocco.
Meanwhile, this opens opportunities for another new star, Nick Woltemade, who has the potential to become the main scorer. If the German continues his successful run of three goals in four matches, Vissa may need more time to prove his worth.
“Right now, Yoane is not thinking about that. He is still trying to recover and feel comfortable in his body,”
Howe added.
“As soon as he is ready, he, like all players, will want to reclaim his spot and earn trust,”
the coach noted, emphasizing that Woltemade is facing serious competition from Will Osula, who successfully came off the bench in the last match and assisted Harvey Barnes.
“There is competition, but Vissa can also add unique dynamics,”
Howe assured.
Yoane Vissa's return to the field after injury will be important for Newcastle as the team prepares for key matches in the Champions League. The absence of a player established in the attack raises questions about the team's playing style, as each match could impact the overall outcome of the season. The competition for starting spots will also heighten interest in the performances of young players eager to prove their worth in the team.
