Russell Martin on the verge of dismissal: who could lead Rangers.
According to The Sun: Russell Martin remains the head coach of Rangers after securing his first league win last weekend.
Betting agencies talkSPORT BET have already started taking bets on who will be the next head coach of the team, as the pressure on Martin is mounting.
Andrew Milligan/PA WireA week earlier, Andrew Cavanagh joined the club amid rumors of serious negotiations due to the poor start of Rangers, who hadn't won in five consecutive Premier League matches and lost their first Europa League match.
However, 49ers CEO Patrick Stewart and football director Kevin Thelwell expressed their support for Martin.
This came despite fan calls for his dismissal after a heavy 1-9 aggregate defeat to Benfica in the Champions League playoffs, as well as protests at all matches, including the win over Hibs in the Premier Sports Cup.
The victory in West Lothian allowed Rangers to escape the relegation zone and move up to eighth place, trailing Celtic by seven points and nine behind leaders Hearts.
Rangers fans filled the stands during the match against Livingston, but after Livi equalized with 20 minutes remaining, chants of 'Martin, get out!' grew even louder.
Especially impressive was Max Aarons, who until that point hadn't scored, netting the winning goal just four minutes after regular time, sparking wild celebrations on the bench, and the same chants were heard even louder.
It seems that Martin has lost the support of the majority of Rangers fans, and the question remains when this will lead to changes in the coaching staff.
TalkSPORT BET continues to assess the odds for a new Rangers coach.

The situation with Martin and Rangers remains tense as the victory in the match did not alleviate all questions about his future leadership. Fans are actively expressing their sentiments, and bookmakers are already working on new bets considering changes in the club. Time will tell whether Martin can justify the trust of the management and supporters.
