Casualties and Medical Response Following Odesa Attack
According to Novyny.live: A nighttime assault on Odesa resulted in three people being taken to the hospital, two of whom are in moderate condition. One of the injured has already undergone an initial surgical procedure. Two of the victims required hospitalization, while one received outpatient care.
Condition of the Wounded
The hospitalized patients sustained serious limb injuries. One suffered an open fracture of a lower limb, while the other patient has multiple shrapnel wounds to both upper and lower limbs. As reported by Bohdan Zinchuk, one patient was hospitalized with an open fracture of a lower limb, and the other has multiple shrapnel wounds to the lower and upper limbs.
First aid was administered in the operating room immediately upon the victims' arrival. All patients received wound treatment, had foreign metal objects removed, and were placed in plaster casts for immobilization. However, as Bohdan Zinchuk noted, further surgical treatment is still planned. Most of those hospitalized are elderly individuals, around 60 years old, which raises additional concern among medical staff.
This attack is part of an ongoing escalation of conflict in the region, which continues to impact the civilian population. The rising number of casualties, particularly among the elderly, underscores the urgent need for enhanced safety measures and medical support in the area. Further surgical interventions and extended rehabilitation will likely be crucial for the recovery of the victims, highlighting the severe consequences of such assaults.
