New electricity tariffs from 2026: how much Ukrainians will pay.
According to ТСН: In 2026, a single main tariff for electricity will be introduced for consumers, along with two special tariffs and one preferential tariff. The main rate will be 4.32 UAH/kWh. This price will be paid by all users with standard meters, as well as those with multi-zone meters that are not set up for distribution.
Consumers can reduce their expenses by installing a two-zone meter that distinguishes between day and night consumption.
How the night tariff works
Day (07:00–23:00) — tariff 4.32 UAH/kWh
Night (23:00–07:00) — with a 50% discount, the tariff decreases to 2.16 UAH/kWh
For a three-zone meter, the distribution is as follows:
6.48 UAH/kWh during the period from 8:00 to 11:00 and from 20:00 to 22:00
standard cost from 7:00 to 8:00, from 11:00 to 20:00 and from 22:00 to 23:00
1.73 UAH/kWh — during the night from 23:00 to 07:00
When consuming up to 2000 kWh per month, the tariff will be 2.64 UAH/kWh, and when this limit is exceeded, the full cost will be charged.
It was previously reported that after the end of martial law in Ukraine, tariff increases for electricity will occur gradually. The increase in tariffs for businesses in 2026 will likely occur in two phases. A similar approach will be applied for the population after the war ends.
The planned changes to electricity tariffs in Ukraine in 2026 could significantly affect the consumption and expenses of citizens. Consumers should carefully consider the possibilities of installing new meters in order to save on electricity. This is especially relevant for residents who can adapt their household schedules to optimize expenses.
