Dutch Ministers Visit Ukraine

According to UATV: Dutch Foreign Minister Tom Berendsen and Defense Minister Dylan Yesilgöz-Zegerius arrived in Kyiv for an official visit on February 28. During their meetings, the officials reaffirmed the Netherlands' ongoing commitment to supporting Ukraine with both humanitarian aid and military assistance. This visit underscores the continued solidarity from European partners as Ukraine defends itself.

Specifically, the Netherlands has signed contracts for the production of 600,000 drones, valued at 0.5 billion euros. As part of its military aid package, the country will also supply an additional 350,000 FPV drones to Ukraine. Amsterdam has made a substantial 750-million-euro contribution to the PURL program. Dutch Defense Minister Dylan Yesilgöz-Zegerius emphasized that the Netherlands is obligated to provide no less than 3 billion euros in annual support until 2029, a significant boost to Ukraine's defensive capabilities.

Scope of Dutch Defense Support for Ukraine

The total volume of Dutch defense support for Ukraine amounts to approximately 14 billion euros, of which 10 billion euros is allocated for weaponry. A financial assistance loan for Ukraine totaling 90 billion euros was also announced.

"We are a leading country in pushing this forward," stated Dutch Foreign Minister Tom Berendsen, highlighting the importance of Dutch support in the military sphere.
