The German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection (BMWK) is allocating additional financial assistance of 65 million euros to the European Energy Community for the restoration of energy infrastructure in Ukraine.

This funding will be directed to the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine, which is managed by the European Energy Community. It will be used for the purchase of spare parts and equipment for the damaged energy infrastructure. In addition, the European Energy Community will conduct tenders for the purchase of goods and monitor the use of these funds.

Thus, Ukrainian energy companies will have the opportunity to restore the damaged network infrastructure and power plants.

The BMWK statement notes: 'German contributions should also contribute to increasing the resilience of the Ukrainian energy system in a sustainable way. Part of this funding will be used for projects related to the 'green' energy transition.'

Critical state facilities, including schools and hospitals, will be equipped with photovoltaic systems and battery storage, reducing dependence on energy sources that use generators and fossil fuels.
