History expert, professor at the Hetman Petro Sahaidachny National Army Academy Andriy Kharkov noted that this mortar impresses with its flexibility in use. This has been made possible due to its modular architecture, allowing combat modules to be changed depending on tasks.

'The mission module 120-mm mortar has compact dimensions, allowing it to fit into a 10-foot container. The equipment is equipped with a 120-mm mortar Rheinmetall MWS120 Ragnarok on a stabilized platform, ammunition, and a fire control system,' Kharkov explained.

Automated Targeting

One of the key advantages is the automated targeting of the mortar using the 'Odin' fire control system and the 'Talin' navigation system. According to the expert, it only takes one person to operate this installation, as most processes are performed automatically, except for reloading.

At the exhibition, FFG presented the new self-propelled mortar PMMC G5, which impresses with its flexibility and high level of automation, making it effective in combat conditions.
