According to The Sun: The football club Lech Poznań, which gained popularity due to the celebration of 'Poznań', sent a shirt to Noel Gallagher as a token of appreciation for the influence of his band Oasis, encouraging fans to perform this famous movement during concerts.

This celebration, which involves fans turning their backs to the field, linking arms, and jumping, first appeared at Manchester City – the club that Noel supports along with his brother Liam, after the Europa League match in 2010 against Lech Poznań.

Liam Gallagher also urged fans at concerts to join in performing 'Poznań'. Recently, the club sent a shirt to Noel.

Noel shared this gesture on social media X:

“Thank you to everyone at Lech Poznań. This was a HUGE moment all over the world. Even (Manchester) United fans did it!! HAIL BLUES!”

The shirt bears Gallagher's name and the number 12, reserved by the club for fans – our twelfth player.

In a letter accompanying the shirt, the club noted:

“We saw footage from your concerts where you encourage Oasis fans to join in performing 'Poznań' – it truly makes a big impression!”

“Maybe one day you would like to visit our city – either to perform here or to feel the unique atmosphere of a Lech match at our stadium.”

The Lech Poznań club was impressed to see 'Poznań' performed at Oasis concerts.

 

“Please do not hesitate to wear this shirt, share it, or just keep it as a small connection between you and our club.”

Manchester City fans actively performed 'Poznań' last weekend when the team asserted its dominance by defeating Manchester United 3-0.
