Norway Offers Financial Aid to Vulnerable Ukrainians: Application Details and Deadlines.
Cash Assistance for Ukrainians Affected by War
According to Novyny.live: The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is now accepting applications for cash assistance from war-affected Ukrainians who fall into vulnerable categories. The application deadline is 12:00 on February 25, 2023. Due to limited program funding, the NRC will conduct a careful selection process among applicants. This initiative is part of a broader international effort to support civilians enduring the conflict.
Assistance is available to households that have not left areas where active hostilities are ongoing. The aid amounts to 3,600 Ukrainian hryvnias (UAH) per family member per month, covering a three-month period for a total of 10,800 UAH per person.
Who is Eligible for This Assistance?
Households that have remained in active combat zones may apply for this program. Aid is also available to families forced to flee their homes in dangerous regions, as well as to citizens who have returned to their homes in de-occupied territories.
Applicants must submit specific documents for registration. These include:
- A Ukrainian passport or ID card,
- Internally Displaced Person (IDP) certificate,
- Children's birth certificates,
- Taxpayer registration number,
- Bank account number in IBAN format.
Documents confirming the household's vulnerable status must also be provided.
This program represents a significant step in supporting people facing dire circumstances due to the war. The Norwegian Refugee Council hopes the provided aid will offer substantial relief to those in need.
The NRC's initiative highlights the ongoing activity of international organizations in responding to the humanitarian needs of Ukraine's population during the conflict. Given the limited funding, it is crucial for potential recipients to submit the required documentation promptly to access this support. This financial assistance can significantly ease the burden on war-affected households and help cover basic needs during a time of instability.
