Jose Mourinho refused to comment on Chelsea violations

According to The Sun: Jose Mourinho ignored questions about 74 accusations against Chelsea regarding possible violations of agent regulations during Roman Abramovich's time.

The Football Association announced the charges at the beginning of the month, confirming that they relate to the period from 2009 to 2022.

The FA's statement said that 'The Football Association today brought charges against Chelsea for violations of regulation J1 and C2 regarding agents, as well as A2, A3 for working with intermediaries and A1, B3 for third-party investments in players.

'In total, 74 charges have been brought against Chelsea. These actions became the subject of accusations during the period from 2009 to 2022 and relate to events between the 2010-11 and 2015-16 seasons.'

The legendary Portuguese coach managed the team for five years, which are the subject of investigation, in two stages.

This issue became a topic of discussion at the pre-match press conference before the Champions League match of his new club Benfica against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

When asked whether it would be unfair to punish the club and strip them of titles due to possible violations, Mourinho avoided commenting.

“Not Man City?”

‘Man City’ is currently awaiting a decision in its FA case, where they have been charged with 115 violations of regulations at the beginning of 2023.

Hearings regarding the indictments took place from September to December last year, but no decision has been made yet.

Mourinho also noted that he knows nothing about the case regarding Chelsea: 'I have no idea about this. I don't know what the accusations are. I'll try to understand the situation.'

In his time, 'The Special One' won three Premier League titles with Chelsea, as well as the FA Cup and three League Cups.

He has also managed Real Madrid, Inter, and Tottenham during his lengthy career.

Currently, Mourinho has the chance to 'pop' Chelsea again and increase the pressure on Enzo Maresca as he leads Benfica in his fourth match as head coach.
