Rio Ferdinand calls for tactical changes at Manchester United

According to The Sun: Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand believes coach Ruben Amorim needs to rethink his controversial tactics.

Since joining the club last November, Amorim has steadfastly adhered to a 3-4-2-1 formation, despite the team losing 17 of 33 Premier League matches, winning only nine.

Ferdinand, a recognized authority in the sports world, is convinced that Amorim's chosen tactics do not meet the needs of Manchester United.

He pointed out that the coach should switch to a 4-2-3-1 formation since the team has players who feel “very comfortable” in those positions.

“If they play 4-2-3-1, I think you can utilize all the players in those positions where they feel very comfortable,” said Ferdinand on his Rio Presents podcast.

Ferdinand also added that Manchester United has enough players capable of executing this tactic, including Casemiro, Ugarte, and many others who can occupy key positions.

The team started this season poorly, suffering three defeats in the first six league matches and winning only two.

The Red Devils also suffered an early defeat in the Carabao Cup against League Two side Grimsby Town.

The situation at Manchester United remains tense, and Rio Ferdinand's words highlight the need for changes. Players and fans hope the team can find the right approach to improve results this season and break the negative trend.
