Ukrainian parents who have a newborn can receive assistance in the form of essential items for newborns — 'Baby Package'. They also decided to introduce similar support for families sending their children to school.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal announced a new initiative — 'School Package', which will be received by the parents of first graders.
What support will first graders' parents receive
Ukraine has decided to provide a one-time payment of 5,000 UAH for parents of children who are going to school for the first time this year (in person). This money can be spent on school supplies, books, clothing, and shoes.
How to receive the money
An application for the payment can be submitted online via the 'Diia' app, and the money can only be received cashless, paying for items related to education with a card.
At the same time, the government notes that this payment will not affect the receipt of subsidies or other social assistance. This initiative is aimed at improving the living conditions of Ukrainians in the country.
'The launch of the 'School Package' is a small part of innovations that are also aimed at creating conditions for Ukrainians to continue living and working in Ukraine',it is said in the statement.
Details regarding the conditions for receiving and the application submission process will be announced soon by the Ministry of Social Policy.
