The Security Service of Ukraine struck the tanker of the shadow fleet of the Russian Federation in the Mediterranean Sea for the first time: operation details

According to ТСН: For the first time, the Security Service of Ukraine launched a drone attack on a tanker of the 'shadow fleet' of the Russian Federation in neutral waters of the Mediterranean Sea.

According to sources, this tanker was used by Russia to bypass sanctions and generate income that was directed towards financing the war.

As a result of the attack, the tanker QENDIL received critical damage and is no longer able to perform its functions.

Complex Special Operation at a Great Distance

This operation was unprecedented, as it involved an attack at a distance of over 2000 km from Ukrainian borders.

Let us remind you that earlier in the port of 'Novorossiysk', the Security Service of Ukraine detonated a Russian submarine of the 636.3 'Varshavyanka' class for the first time using underwater drones Sub Sea Baby. The explosion caused critical damage to the submarine, which has essentially been rendered inoperable.

This special operation confirms the growing capabilities of Ukrainian forces to conduct complex attacks even at a significant distance from their borders. Destroying the tanker that facilitated the bypassing of sanctions is an important step in combating the financing of aggression by Russia. It is crucial to keep track of the further developments in this area as such actions could significantly impact the situation in the region.
