The Higher League of Basketball has announced the lineup: three new teams have joined the tournament.

According to inkorr.com: This year, there will be 8 teams participating in the men's Higher League of Basketball. The FBU national team announced that the league includes 'Sambir', 'Khmelnytskyi', 'Vinnytsia', 'DiDiBao' (Kamianets-Podilskyi), and 'BIPA-Odessa'.
Among the innovations is the inclusion of a second Mykolaiv team 'Niko-Basket-2', which replaced 'Niko-Basket'. Also, the teams BK 'Chodyussh-CHEBASKET' from Chernivtsi and 'Freedom UA' from Kyiv have joined the Higher League participants.
The start of the new season is scheduled for October 25, and the competition will last in a format of four rounds with trips. The four best teams of the regular championship will advance to the playoffs. All matches will be available for viewing on the YouTube channel of the Basketball Federation of Ukraine.
In the pre-qualification for the World Championship 2027, the men's national team of Ukraine defeated the team of Slovakia twice. However, in the pre-qualification round for the World Cup 2027, our players suffered a defeat against the Swiss national team with a score of 64:66.
