According to inkorr.com: The new season of the Higher Women's League starts in mid-October, as reported by Glavkom citing the FBU. The league has two new teams – MOBI-SDYUSHOR from Kyiv and BK KHAI-Team of Kharkiv region, which will replace the clubs that will not participate in the new season.
Team Composition and Competition System
Among the teams remaining from the previous season are – Ivano-Frankivsk-PNU-DYUSH-2, Rivne-OSHVSM-OSDUSSHOR, Team of Poltava region-BK Poltava-Basket-SumDPU-KDUSSH No. 1, Kozachka-KPU-ODUSSH (Zaporizhzhia), SDYUSHOR-4 (Mykolaiv), KIVS-SKIF (Lviv) and InterChem-2 (Odesa). The season will take place in two stages: in the first stage, teams will compete in two rounds according to a round-robin schedule, and in the second stage, the four best teams from the first stage will compete for prizes.
The National Men's Team of Ukraine won the pre-qualification for the World Championship-2027 from the first place in the group, advancing to the main qualifying round of the world championship.
