According to The Sun: Nuno Espírito Santo has been appointed as the new coach of West Ham following the dismissal of Graham Potter.

The 50-year-old Potter left the club after a poor start to the season. The team currently sits second to last in the Premier League, having won only one of five matches and suffered four defeats.

According to SunSport, Nuno, a 51-year-old coach, is in intensive talks about the position at London Stadium.

The Portuguese, who was sacked by Nottingham Forest after three games this season, will be the club's third manager this calendar year.

As a reminder: Potter replaced Julen Lopetegui in January, while Lopetegui took over from David Moyes last summer.

West Ham negotiated with the former Wolves manager before the home game against Crystal Palace last week but delayed a decision after yet another defeat.

Nuno will be presented on Monday night at West Ham's match against Everton, where he will face Moyes' former boss.

“West Ham United can confirm that head coach Graham Potter has left the club.'

“The results and performances in the second half of last season and at the start of the 2025/26 season did not meet expectations, and management believes that changes are necessary to improve the team's position in the Premier League as quickly as possible.'

“The club can confirm that assistant coach Bruno Saltor, first team coaches Billy Read and Narcis Pelah, goalkeeping coach Kasper Ankergren, and goalkeeping coach Linus Kandolin have also left the club effective immediately.'

“Management would like to thank Graham and his coaching staff for their hard work during their time at West Ham and wish them all the best for the future.”

“The process to appoint a successor has already begun. The club will not be commenting on this matter at this time.”

Kyle Macaulay, the head of department who worked with Potter throughout his career and joined earlier this year from Chelsea, remains in his position for now.
