27 Beaches Set for Summer Season in Odesa: New Spots Now Open for Visitors.
New Beach Locations in Odesa
According to Novyny.live: The city of Odesa has expanded its number of beaches ready to welcome visitors. Currently, 27 coastal sections have passed inspections and received official readiness certificates. Following the latest round of checks, 13 additional beach areas have now been formally cleared for operation.
Approved Beaches
The newly opened locations ready for swimmers include:
- Beaches in the Lanzheron area, where seven sections are operational near the two-tier zone and the beach next to the 'Veranda' establishment;
- Beach venues 'UnderAir' and 'Liberty' on Delphin;
- The 'Cocos' beach venue in Arcadia;
- Public beaches near the 14th station of Velykyi Fontan and the 'Yug' restaurant.
'We continue systematic efforts to ensure safe recreation along the Odesa coastline. After the latest inspection phase, 13 more beach sections have been surveyed and officially received their readiness certificates. Taking into account previously approved locations, 27 beaches are now open for public use across the city. Each of these sites meets established safety requirements,' said Serhiy Krasylenko.
It is also worth noting that five visitors—three women and two men—were rescued at the 'Lanzheron' and 'Zolotyi Bereh' beaches. Inspections of additional beaches are ongoing, and relevant authorities continue to monitor safety conditions for beachgoers along the coast.
The opening of new beaches in Odesa represents a significant step toward reviving tourism activity in the region, especially at a time when visitor safety must remain a top priority. Increasing the number of available locations could help attract more tourists, positively impacting the city's economy. However, it is crucial that safety oversight on the beaches remains a key focus, particularly given the recent rescues. The involvement of responsible agencies and regular inspections will help create a comfortable and secure environment for all visitors.
