New Daily Schedule for the Kyiv–Chișinău Train

According to Novyny.live: Starting June 28, 2026, Ukrainian Railways (Ukrzaliznytsia) has reached an agreement with Moldova's CFM to operate daily train departures between Kyiv and Chișinău. This marks a major upgrade in cross-border transport between Ukraine and Moldova, as the service currently runs only every other day. The new timetable will make travel between the two capitals far more accessible for passengers seeking a convenient connection.

As of June 19, the Kyiv–Chișinău train departs once every two days. With the shift to daily operations, Ukrainians will find it easier to plan their trips. Tickets for the new services are already available for purchase and reservation, allowing travelers to secure seats well in advance.

Schedule Adjustments and Enhanced Comfort

The changes also affect the departure time from Chișinău. Starting June 29, it will move to 19:52, a shift that Ukrzaliznytsia officials say improves convenience for passengers with connecting routes.

“What’s more, we adjusted the train’s departure time from Chișinău to make it more comfortable for travelers who have transfers,” the company stated.

The new train will also feature a dedicated children's car, specially renovated to meet the needs of Ukrainian families, boosting comfort for those traveling with kids. Notably, Chișinău International Airport offers flights to European Union countries, making this rail link even more practical for onward journeys. Ticket prices for popular routes in Romania start at €27, which could further encourage travel across the region.

In short, the launch of daily Kyiv–Chișinău train service on June 28, 2026, opens up fresh opportunities for travelers, enhances trip convenience, and raises the comfort level for all passengers.

The expansion of the Kyiv–Chișinău route underscores the growing importance of transport connections between Ukraine and Moldova, especially as tourism flows and economic cooperation between the two nations continue to develop. With easier logistics, improved comfort, and the availability of both rail and air links, this project could strengthen bilateral ties and stimulate business and tourism in the region.
